Many groups are working on prematurity prevention, even in your community. Here are some you can contact for help and support:

The March of Dimes: www.marchofdimes.org In Spanish: nacersano.org
Kentucky Chapter: www.marchofdimes.com/kentucky This organization has been working to raise awareness of prematurity since 2004. Loads of information is available on their web site. In addition, there are state and local chapters where you can participate in activities.

The Kentucky Folic Acid Partnership: www.kfap.org KAFP is a state-wide partnership dedicated to promoting perinatal health issues through community action, mass media, and health professional education. The KAFP wrote the Community Action Toolkit that is used on this site. Any interested person is invited to join.

The Kentucky Perinatal Association: www.kentuckyperinatal.com KPA is a multidisciplinary group of consumers and professionals dedicated to improving the health of Kentucky’s mothers and babies thru education, advocacy, and networking. Any person interested in the health of mothers and babies is invited to join.
