Tips for Success
- When starting to plan your activity consider approaching clubs and organizations to which you already belong
- Whether choosing a location, community group, publication or media outlet, consider which are most likely to reach women of childbearing age and their families
- When selecting an activity, choose one that is easy for you to do, for example:
- If you are a member of a civic club, display preterm birth materials at all of your community events
- If you are a newsletter editor, make a commitment to keeping preterm birth issues visible in your newsletter
- Identify those in your community who could present a personal story about a preterm birth experience as part of your activity
- The more people you recruit to participate, the more successful you will be
