Warning Signs
Each of the signs and symptoms below could mean that you are experiencing preterm labor. Call your healthcare provider right away if you have any of these warning signs, even just one.
- Contractions that make your belly tighten up every 10 minutes or more often. These contractions do not always hurt, they can be painless.
- Change in the color or amount of your vaginal discharge, or bleeding from your vagina.
- The feeling that your baby is pushing down, this is called pelvic pressure.
- Low, dull backache, or aches in your thighs.
- Cramps that feel like your period.
- Belly cramps with or without diarrhea.
